Natalia Tarasova Art

We were drawn to Natalia Tarasova's work while shopping at the local gift shop The Fancy Pheasant in Savannah, GA so we connected to learn more about how she got her start. We're excited to have her as our Rising Tide featured business of the month.

We were surprised to learn that Natalia is a self-taught artist. "I've always loved drawing and painting as a child, but I never dreamed of becoming an artist. I painted a piece as a gift for my husband for Father's Day. It turned out pretty good, and I kept experimenting more. Today, I work mostly with modeling paste and acrylic paints to create 3D art on wood blocks and canvas. My art, created in a studio space smaller than 250 square feet, comes in various sizes, making it affordable and perfect for gift-giving for any occasion."

What’s your REAL JOB title?

Since I paint on wood, you can consider me a lumberjack with a palette knife.

We love finding creatives that embrace sustainable practices. How does your business align with sustainability, and how do you connect that back to the community?

I often paint on reclaimed wood. The majority of my art is inspired by local architecture and coastal landscapes.

At Salacia, we’re all about relaxation. What does relaxation look like for you?

Having a quiet evening with my loved ones, playing board games, planning new trips, telling each other funny stories over the dinner table, and getting big hugs from my kids before bedtime.

If Natalia’s art has caught your eye, you can find it in our March 2026 Southern Charm Subscription box, shipping April 1 or at the following gift shops in Savannah, GA: The Fancy Pheasant, Polka Dots, Cohen's Retreat, and Midtown Deli.
