​​Retail Manager (PT)

Tybee Salt Cottage, located in Savannah, GA, develops, designs, manufactures and manages a line of skincare and home essentials inspired by the South and sea. We are looking for an avid learner, someone who is eager, organized and detail oriented, to help us with the overseeing and working in our retail location independently, managing employee work schedules, coordinating workshops, and managing inventory. 

This position is great for those with management or business experience looking to do something impactful within our community. It’s a great opportunity to interact with small business owners, locals and visitors who visit our shop. 

Must have reliable transportation, have great math skills, experience with internet and cloud-based programs; be neat and tidy, and have a keen eye for detail. 

Candidates with a passion for sustainability, eco-friendly practices and interest or experience in natural beauty skincare and holistic health are an ideal fit for our business. This position will work directly with other Associates, Workshop Instructors, and assist the CEO with tasks and responsibilities for business and revenue growth. Applicants with merchandising, sales and marketing experience skills are highly encouraged to apply. 

This position calls for up to 20 hours a week and availability for some Saturday and Sunday hours at our gift shop during December.  

Requirements and Responsibilities

  • Oversee part time team members and handle scheduling for retail location and workshops

  • Process sales transactions 

  • Manage cash drawer

  • Follow opening and closing procedures

  • Welcome and engage with retail customers, vendors, suppliers, workshop attendees and guests in a warm, friendly manner

  • Serve as a brand ambassador by bringing your passion for natural skincare and locally made, unique goods for the customer to experience

  • Desire to share company history and facts

  • Recommend products and solutions that meet customers’ needs

  • Assist customers with their purchases, returns and exchanges

  • Maintain merchandising and ensure gift shop is clean, organized and well stocked

  • Report vendor sales and request inventory reorders

  • Manage incoming inventory and entry into the system

  • Provide monthly inventory and vendor sales reports 

  • Some weekend shifts will be required, on ocassion and flexibility for hours

  • Lead "make and take" sessions, sharing how to make a product for our guests to take home from our location.

Workshop Instructor

Looking for something fun to do a couple times a week and make some extra money? We're seeking energized class instructors for our workshops. We'll teach you how it's done and then you can lead classes from 1-22. Flexible hours! 

Salacia Salts is a clean beauty brand in Savannah, GA. Workshop shifts are short (1.5-2 hours) and we are looking for someone to host our guests, share our brand story, and provide them with a unique experience. Working a simple point of sale register and handling transactions after class is required.

How does it work? Bookings come in and we'll reach out to our instructors to check interest and availability. Secure your work date and that's it! Not required to accept all classes. We'll work with our active team to develop a class schedule that works for our team and our guests.
