Moisturizer Bar Workshop

Create a moisturizing lotion bar. Explore endless possibilities and total creativity in this 75 minute class at Salacia Salts Studio. Class size is limited to 12 people per session. This class is available in the months of October through April. 

What is a moisturizer bar?

A moisturizer bar contains oils and butters from plants that essentially melt on your body. There are so many benefits of this product. It’s package free, made with no water, easy to travel with and can be used for skin, hair and as a cleanser. 

The Class
In your class, we will formulate a Moisturizer Bar for your particular needs. Maybe it’s a moisturizing bar to be used after the bath or shower. Maybe it’s part of a 2 part facial cleanser. The oils will attract debris and makeup from the surface of your skin, pulling elements from your pores. Follow up with your everyday cleanser for a complete clean. Or maybe you’d like to create a beard balm. The options are limitless!

Learn about plant butters, oils, and essential oils. Choose the combination of ingredients that work for your personalized formula.

• Choose a product to make: Guests will create 1 of the 3 styles (body, face, beard) of lotion bar. Each guest will leave with at least 2 of the same type bars.  
• Customize: Select from different textures, colors and ingredients to fully customize your bars. Choose from a variety of molds (massage bars, shamrocks, hearts, turtles, sand dollars, seashells as well as simple shapes are just some of the many options!).
• Price: $50 per person, for groups of 4 or more, covering all materials and instruction.
• Pick-up or Shipping: Bars are ready for pick-up 2 hours after pouring, or we can ship them for $8 per address. We will hold bars for up to 30 days, so you can pick them up at your convenience.
• No experience needed to participate.

Please NOTE
The process involves using a heating element and glass, so we recommend participants to be 13 years or older. Exceptions allowed if a parent or guardian is responsible for no more than 2 children at a time. Parents will be expected to assist the children in the experience. 

These bars do not travel well in temperatures over 94 degrees, so please plan accordingly. For example, do not leave them in a hot car after you leave the class or in direct sunlight. We will provide coolers and an ice pack for transport if the temperatures are too warm outside. Alternatively, we'll provide FREE SHIPPING (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) to your preferred destination with the $40+ purchase of any products offered at our in studio gift shop.
