Our Virtual Event

There is so much history, culture, and flavors to absorb in the south. We will try to explore it all! We have arranged for our guest mixologist, Carlton Chamblin to teach us how to create the perfect cocktail (or mocktail!) with a southern flair.

Carlton Chamblin is a native of Birmingham, AL with backgrounds in art history, product marketing and food and beverage. Since moving to Rabun County, Georgia in 2016 he has been an integral part of the community and an ardent supporter of the Northeast Georgia Food Bank and Teaching Kitchen.  Chamblin has served as host of the yearly Chef Throwdown, a local cooking competition modeled after the Food Network’s “Chopped”.

He has taken his love of bartending and hospitality to new heights with the founding of Farm2Cocktail, a cocktail mixer and freelance bartending company.  The mixers are known as shrubs or drinking vinegars and may be found online at farm2cocktail.com.

Carlton resides in Tiger, Georgia with Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey and Diva, his three canine rescues.

We will also be hearing about experiences at some of our favorite properties in coastal Georgia and South Carolina, as well as a special appearance by American Queen Steamboat Company which sails from southern gem, New Orleans up the Mississippi River.  There is so much to discover in the South, we are just scratching the surface!

The Sips & Trips Taste of the South virtual event will take place March 31st at 7 PM. A kit purchase is not necessary to attend the event. Register here
